The hobby of sewing can lead to acquiring a lot of supplies. Some of them are great timesavers and others are just money-wasters. This section will focus on basics: specifically, what you need for this course. At the end there are sections on where to buy items and ways to save money.  

Two shopping list files available in the assignment section. They are not here, because I don't want you to start collecting any item until you watch the video on it. So if you want to follow along with the videos you can go grab the files, other wise just take some notes as you watch. You need the information in the videos before you buy or start looking.

1. "Basic Sewing Supplies with Notes" is all the the text from the following sections, in one document. It has lots of links, recommendations, and notes about each supply.
2. "Class Supply Shopping List" is a printable shopping list that you can check off as you collect the supplies. It has limited notes, but enough that should jog your memory while shopping and help you find the right thing.
